Lithuania has stopped importing natural gas from Russia, the Lithuanian energy Ministry said Thursday evening, dPA reported.Lithuania’s energy Ministry said the country’s gas network has not imported gas from Russia since the beginning of the month, the report said.Data from Lithuanian network operators confirm this.”We are the first EU country to become independent from Russian gas supplies among Gazprom’s suppliers, and this is the result of years of consistent energy policy and timely infrastructure decisions,” Lithuanian Energy Minister Dinius Klevis said in the statement.
